Ali Dilem is an Algerian editorial cartoonist known for having such
enemies as the country's President, the army as well as the islamic
extremists.
His critical and uncompromising stance has brought 26
lawsuits against him this year alone.
He has faced jail time, death threats from paramilitary forces and legal pressure from the government, but he still refuses to leave Algeria or introduce self-censorship. He is published in the daily Liberté and other Algerian and international newspapers.
